Getting Here & What to Expect at the Door
Arriving for the first time is easy and completely stress-free. Glenway Church of God of Prophecy is located at 179 Glenway Street, Dorchester, MA 02121, and street parking is available in the surrounding neighborhood. We want you to feel relaxed and at home from the moment you pull up.
- Parking: Street parking is available on Glenway Street and nearby side streets. Arrive a few minutes early to find a comfortable spot.
- Arrival: Doors open before service begins. You are welcome to arrive early or right on time — no rush.
- Greeter Team: A friendly greeter will welcome you the moment you walk through the door. They will direct you to seating, answer any questions, and make sure you feel at home right away.
- First Visit? Let us know — our team would love to personally welcome you and introduce you to our church family.

Sunday Worship: Alive, Warm & Welcoming
Sunday worship at Glenway Church is a joyful, multicultural, Spirit-filled experience that welcomes people of all backgrounds and ages. Our service runs from 12:45 PM to 2:00 PM and is designed to uplift, inspire, and connect you to God and to a genuine community of faith.
• Music: Uplifting gospel praise and worship music led by the worship team — expect heartfelt singing, joyful celebration, and Spirit-led moments of prayer.
• Message: A practical, Bible-based sermon drawn from the KJV Scripture, delivered with warmth, humor, and relevance to everyday life.
• Length: The service typically runs about 1 hour 15 minutes.
• Dress Code: Come as you are. There is no dress requirement. Many members dress in Sunday best; others come casually. All are welcome.
• Atmosphere: Diverse, multigenerational, and genuinely warm — expect to feel at home from the moment you sit down.

Children's Ministry
Our Children's Ministry provides a safe, age-appropriate, and loving environment for children during Sunday services. Trained, caring volunteers warmly welcome every child with open arms. Parents can worship with complete peace of mind, knowing their little ones are in a nurturing, faith-filled setting designed just for them.
Youth & Young Adults
Our Friday 7:00 PM Youth & Young Adult Ministry is an energetic, faith-building space where teens and young adults can connect, grow, and find purpose together. Dedicated to building the next generation of believers, this ministry offers a welcoming community where young people are celebrated and challenged to live out their faith.

Prayer, Giving & the Altar Call — What to Expect
Every moment of our service is designed to be welcoming, voluntary, and completely pressure-free. You will never be singled out — only invited to experience God at your own pace and comfort level.
Prayer
Prayer is a natural, personal part of every service. There may be a moment of congregational prayer led from the front. Visitors are welcome to simply bow their heads, close their eyes, or participate however feels right for them. There is no pressure — just a warm invitation to connect with God.
Giving & Offering
An offering moment may take place during the service. Giving is a personal act of worship and is entirely voluntary — visitors are never expected to give and will never feel pressured. If you'd like to support the ministry, offering envelopes are available, and online giving is also available at our Give Online page.
The Altar Call
At the end of the message, there is often an invitation for anyone who wants to pray, respond to the Gospel, or seek personal prayer. This is always voluntary — visitors may come forward, stay seated, or simply watch. The altar call is a moment of grace and warmth, never pressure.
